Locally owned, and quietly obsessed with getting it right.
Optum has been designing and installing heating, plumbing and energy systems since 1996, and today serves Wānaka and Queenstown.
One plumber became two teams of plumbers, gasfitters, heating specialists and solar installers. We installed Wānaka's first solar hot water system in 2010, and have worked alongside architects since long before that was common here.
The people who turn up at your home tend to be the same people, year after year. Our clients ask for them by name.

One integrated system
Heating, plumbing, ventilation, hot water and energy are designed to work together. Most companies do one piece; we design the whole climate and water story of a house.

We know the alpine climate, the building stock and the architects, because we have worked beside them for nearly thirty years. When you need us again, we will still be here.
